After months of enduring painfully slow fracture healing for my fractured hand, and not seeing much improvement, I decided to go and try an acupuncture treatment to see if it would help. After an initial session with Annie, I could definitely feel improvement in the condition of my hand, and my hand felt much more at ease as well as gaining more mobility and speeding up the healing. Two sessions went a long way to helping my hand heal and noticeably accelerated my rate of healing, and I would definitely recommend an acupuncture treatment with Annie!
Annie Wang is a skilled and reliable acupuncturist. Because Annie works with me by listening to what I am experiencing and needing, her treatments always leave me with a greater sense of ease and well-being in my body and mind. I appreciate her dedication to and achievement of a high professional standard.
I am honored to write in support of the amazing work Annie Wang L. Ac. has done with me for over 7 years. As a Stanford trained physician, Traditional Chinese Medicine was a bit hard to accept for me at first. But the results were undeniable, as her weekly treatments gave me almost immediate symptomatic relief from the consequences of a lifetime of athletic indiscretions. And even more subtly, over the long haul, I realized gains in energy level, mental function, general sense of well-being, and what my orthopedic surgeons have described as remarkably quick healing from major surgeries to repair worn-out joints. I can recommend her without reservation, and regard my weekly treatments as a cornerstone of on-going health maintenance.
Annie was recommended by my Western doctor two years ago, and I have been seeing her ever since. She is an excellent acupuncturist and a wonderful person. She holds highest medical integrity, truly cares about her patients, and always delivers. With my over two years experience, I can honestly say that Annie helped to improve my overall health as well as the outcome of my complicated medical treatments. Every time after seeing her, I felt much more energized and refreshed. and yes, I always look forward to my next treatment.
I first came to Annie Wang for a shoulder injury as well as fertility support. (My shoulder injury turned out to need a different kind of therapy, so the info that follows focuses just on fertility.) Being 40, I wasn’t sure if I’d have challenges with trying to get pregnant for the first time, so wanted to get my hormones, digestive system, and overall health as balanced and regular as possible. What I really appreciated, from the first visit and during every visit after, was that Annie was so knowledgeable about everything pregnancy related. I’d had a pre-conception appt with an ob/gyn, and my husband had a sperm analysis; some of the levels weren’t quite what the Dr. wanted, but Annie was able to review all the results and give a second opinion along with ways we might improve those levels through food, herbs, and acupuncture.
One of the things she wanted to change right away was the length of my menstrual cycle. For years it had been around 26 days (she said, to support a pregnancy, it was better that it be longer), and within one month of seeing her, my cycle was more than a week longer. and in about three months from my first visit, I was pregnant. So far everything’s going smoothly! I’ve continued to see Annie through my pregnancy (I’m now about 5 months along), and I’ve found it so useful and reassuring to have her to talk to about all the tests, procedures, etc. I look forward to continuing to see her through my pregnancy, and post pregnancy as well.
I started seeing Annie when I had a clicking in my jaw. The acupuncture relieved my pain and after a few sessions my jaw was healed. After such a great experience I pursued Annie’s expertise again when I began having high blood pressure during my pregnancy. I scheduled weekly appointments that not only kept my blood pressure below the threshold of preeclampsia, but helped to relieve stress and dedicate a time for me to calm my body and mind. I strongly believe the sessions helped me take my mind off of daily stress and focus inward on the growing baby. And when asked, Annie was able to help induce my labor the day before the doctors scheduled a hospital induction at 39 weeks. It definitely worked because my blood pressure remained in safe levels and I was already 3 inches dilated when I checked in for my hospital induction. The acupuncture sessions with Annie were honestly one of the highlights of my pregnancy.
Annie Wang came highly recommended by friends. My daughter had not had a menstrual cycle in several months. Her doctor prescribed birth control pills, but I didn’t like the idea of just masking symptoms and messing with my daughter’s hormones, especially since she was still quite young. After several visits Annie suggested we have her tested for Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. Her own primary care/family medicine doctor had not explored this possibility. An endocrinologist confirmed that my daughter did, in fact, have PCOS. Annie treated my daughter for this condition and her period returned almost immediately and has been normal since.
My daughter feels that Annie approaches her health as a whole being, looking at how systems, diet, exercise, and stress all work together. Annie is personable and creates a wonderful sense of trust.
